Houston Forum Young Artists Competition

LOCATION: University of Houston
FEE: $30.00 per student entry, non-refundable. Non-FMTA members – $40. Entry fees are non-refundable.

OPTION 1 (preferred): Send payments via Zelle to fmteftreasurer@gmail.com. Add a message to the transfer with the memo “HFYAC enrollment for #__ students.”

OPTION 2: Mail your registration check to the chair. Your payment must be postmarked no later than the deadline. Make check out to FORUM.

DEADLINE: April 2, 2025
TEACHER REQUIREMENT: All participating teachers are required to work at this event. Teachers who are unable to fulfill their work requirements for any reason must provide advance notice to the chair ahead of the event, and pay one of the following applicable fees:
– $150 with at least one week’s notice,
– $175 with less than one week’s notice, or no notice.
Teachers who are unable to work due to an emergency must notify the chair immediately, the fee may be waived with the approval of the chair and the president.

BROCHURE/REPERTOIRE: To be announced by October 7.
REGISTRATION:

Registration will be limited to the first 165 entries.

Contact the coordinator to receive your individual registration form.

Completed registration forms are due by April 2, 2025. No changes or new forms will be accepted beyond that date.

Checks must be mailed to the competition coordinator and postmarked no later than April 2.

Late entries will not be accepted.
